I am first and foremost a daughter of the King of Kings.

I married my high school sweetheart in 2005 and we have three children and two businesses.

A few years ago we sold our home and 90% of our possessions and moved into our travel trailer while we flipped some houses with the end goal of buying a house in the country to raise our kids in. What an adventure its been!

We recently purchased the land and are currently planning our home build – we always thought we would just find and fix up a house but are really excited about building one.

I grew up a Pastor’s kid in a great church but it wasn’t until a couple years ago that I really started to discover how victorious and exciting and full of joy life with Christ can be – that I have don’t have to live defeated by the devil, I don’t have to wear the labels I’ve worn my whole life, and I can expect good things because God is a good God and He wants me healed, prospering, and living in the abundance of the finished work of Christ.

I have had a lot of religious thinking (“sacred cows,” if you will!) to counter, a lot of wrong thinking about God and His true nature, and a lot of things I just plain didn’t know about my authority and what God has already done! In a sense, I feel like a brand-new christian and a lot of blog posts are about this journey of laying down my life and picking up and living Christ’s and what I am learning along the way.

I lived with chronic illness for years and I want others to know the healing and freedom and joy and victory that is found in the finished work of Christ. One of my greatest desires is to see people healed and set free and that is really the heart of this blog and why I started it.

“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” Romans 1:16

I really enjoy teaching people how they can save money, simplify, and take care of their families with products from nature. We’ve been using and sharing Young Living for almost 5 years and I never get tired of seeing how they meet so many practical needs in such an effective way! I am so grateful to be able to work part time from home while helping others learn how to use essential oils.

I come from a background of lots of dietary restrictions, detoxing, and learning as much as I could about natural wellness to try to heal before I learned more about my identity in Christ. I am on a journey of learning to balance wellness with faith because I no longer believe they should be separate. I am seeing that “doing” should become from a place of “being” and not the other way around like I had tried for so many years.

I love Jesus, my family, and sharing wellness and Grace + faith with people. Aside from that,  I love writing, sunsets are some of my favorite things ever, campfires are the best, and I think organizing is fun – and if you are ever out and about and bring me a Starbucks iced decaf mocha with coconut milk and no whip, I will probably get ridiculously over-the-top excited.

Thanks for visiting!
